School Aged Childcare

The Department of Children and Youth Affairs (DCYA) operates a number of childcare schemes which provide free or reduced rate childcare to eligible children.

Community Childcare Subvention Private (CCSP)

The Community Childcare Subvention Private Programme (CCSP) is a support programme for Private based childcare services to provide quality childcare at a reduced rate to parents. It enables childcare services to reduce fees for parents in receipt of certain social welfare payments, Family Income Supplement, and holders of medical cards and GP visit cards. â€‹

Childcare Education and Training Support programme (CETS)

The CETS Programme formerly catered for FAS and VEC training course participants and now provides childcare on behalf of the Local Education and Training Boards. The local Education and Training Boards decide which of their training programmes are eligible under the CETS programme. Parents must obtain a letter from their local Education Training Board or Solas. This letter must state the start and finish date of your course and a line indicating that your participation on this course entitles you to a place on the CETS programme.
